Before Your Appointment:


  • Collect the document you need signed and make sure you have a hard copy to sign.

  • Review the document so you know what you are signing and what kind of notarization service you are requesting. Completing BUT NOT SIGNING the documents can speed up your appointment.

  • Collect your form of valid identification (see the List of Approved Identification Forms listed below)

  • Make arrangements for a witness, if one is needed.

At Your Appointment:


  • The notary will look over your documentation, checking for notarial language and blank spaces.

  • You will be asked to sign the Notary’s Journal and provide valid identification.

  • It is now time to notarize your documents!

  • Payment will be due upon completion of notarization and can be payed by cash or check and a receipt will be issued.

*Please be aware that a notary cannot give legal advise or guide you in filling out your document.


Valid Forms of Identification:

  • A passport

  • Driver’s License

  • Other form of government-issued ID that contains a signature and a photograph of the individual

    This must be current or expired for less than 3 years, otherwise it cannot be accepted.

Invalid Forms of Identification:

  • Social Security Card

  • Birth Certificate

  • Credit/Debit card

  • School ID

  • Insurance Card

  • Work badge
